The steam ship St Louis sets off from Hamburg to Cuba and the US with 900 Jews fleeing Nazi persecution. The refugees are rejected from both Cuba and the US and is forced to return to Europe. The St Louis docked in Antwerp, Belgium and the governments of the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK agreed to take in the refugees. https://www.ushmm.org/learn/timeline-of-events/1939-1941/st-louis-voyage
